This renovation brings new life to a character home in one of Geelong’s oldest suburbs. The brief called for a modern and striking update that would feel brighter, more functional and deeply personal to its owner.
Without altering the existing layout, the design focused on refinement through detail. Creating a sense of openness, light and storage where it was previously lacking. A monochromatic palette of black and white provides the foundation for a crisp, minimal interior, softened by layered textures and touches of green woven throughout the home.
Bold stone anchors the kitchen, extending seamlessly across benchtops and splashback for a unified, minimal finish. Custom joinery maximises storage while maintaining visual simplicity, allowing form and function to work in harmony.
The result is a clean, contemporary home that balances practicality and elegance, showcasing a thoughtful design that has transformed this home with restraint.

Here’s what our client had to say:
“Working with Maddy has been an absolute delight – she took (almost) all the stress out of renovating and was with me from start to finish. Her ideas and attention to detail are second to none and she held my hand and guided me through the entire process with the patience of a saint. Can’t recommend Maddy highly enough!”Working with Maddy has been an absolute delight – she took (almost) all the stress out of renovating and was with me from start to finish.
